We supply two types of Eye Bolts: Long Shanked Collared Eyebolts and Drop Forged Collared Eyebolts. These may be used with loads applied at angles although the pull must be in the same plane as the eye. Drop Forged Collared Eyebolts: If the load is applied at 45 degrees the rating must be reduced to 30% of the vertical load. If the pull is 90 degrees then the rating will be 25% of the vertical load. Long Shanked Collared Eyebolts: Collared eyebolts can be used vertically and for angled lifts (i.e using a two leg sling). We recommend that the sling angle should not exceed 45º from the vertical.
