Overview
The 8mm Sub Master Link Assembly (Model MLA-8-22) is a high-grade alloy steel lifting component designed to connect 3- or 4-leg chain slings to a crane hook or hoist. Manufactured to Grade 80 (Quenched and Tempered) standard, it provides a reliable, high-strength central connection point for multi-leg lifting configurations in industrial, construction and rigging applications.
Each assembly consists of a large oblong master link (the top ring, which seats in the crane hook) and two sub-links (the lower pear-shaped rings, which accept the chain legs). The green powder-coat finish provides corrosion resistance and instant visual identification as a Grade 80 component.
- Manufactured from high-grade alloy steel, Grade 80, Quenched and Tempered
- Individually proof tested to 2.5 times the Working Load Limit (4:1 design factor), supplied with certification
- For use with 3- or 4-leg Grade 80 alloy chain slings with 8 mm chain diameter
- Each link carries a Product Identification Code (PIC) for full material traceability, plus size and manufacturer mark
- Fatigue rated at 1.5× WLL with 20,000-cycle test
- Larger inside width and length for compatibility with thimbles
