Overview
This Grade 80 welded master link (Model MLW) is a critical connecting component used to attach chain slings to lifting equipment, crane hooks, and offshore container pad-eyes. Manufactured from high-grade quenched and tempered alloy steel, it is designed for use with Grade 80 alloy chain in single- and two-leg configurations.
The MLW-8-13 is suited to 7 mm (1-leg) or 6 mm (2-leg) alloy chain, with a body diameter (D) of 13 mm, internal length (L) of 110 mm, and internal width (B) of 60 mm. Its enlarged internal dimensions also allow the fitment of wire-rope thimbles for bridle rigging applications.
Every link carries a Product Identification Code (PIC) for full material traceability, along with the size and manufacturer's mark. Each is individually proof tested to 2.5 times the Working Load Limit and is fatigue rated at 1.5× WLL over 20,000 cycles.
