Overview
The 16mm Grade 80 Welded Master Link (model MLW-8-16) is a high-integrity lifting component manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel. Designed for use with Grade 80 alloy chain, it provides the primary connection point between a chain sling assembly and the crane hook or load attachment point. Its larger internal width and length make it compatible with thimbles, making it well suited to bridle configurations involving wire rope.
Every link is individually proof tested to 2.5 times its Working Load Limit (4:1 design factor) and carries a Product Identification Code (PIC) for full material traceability. Fatigue rated at 1.5 times the WLL with a 20,000-cycle test, these links are built for demanding lifting environments including offshore container lifting sets, construction, and heavy industry.
