Overview
The 16 mm Eye Grab Hook is a high-performance lifting component manufactured from quenched and tempered high-grade alloy steel. Designed specifically for use with Grade 80 alloy chain, it is the go-to choice for heavy haulage, commercial shipping, and industrial lifting operations.
Eye grab hooks are most commonly used to hook a chain leg back on itself to form a choker or to act as a chain shortener. The narrow opening ensures full engagement of the chain link, preventing slip-off and maximising load security.
Unlike many hooks that reduce the working load limit of the chain they are attached to, this eye grab hook features supporting wings that prevent chain link deformation, meaning there is no reduction in WLL when used correctly.
The reinforced saddle supports the chain under load, reducing wear and extending service life. The near-circular cross-section provides exceptional resistance to bending forces.
