Overview
This 13mm alloy steel eye grab hook is engineered for use with Grade 80 chain in heavy-duty lifting applications. Commonly used in commercial shipping, heavy haulage, and rigging, it can be used to hook the chain leg back to form a choker or as a chain shortener.
The narrow gap opening ensures only the correct size of chain can be fitted, preventing slip-off and maintaining full load engagement. Unlike some hook designs, the supporting wings on this eye grab hook prevent deformation of the chain link, meaning there is no reduction in working load limit when in use.
The reinforced saddle distributes load evenly along the chain, reducing wear, while the near-circular cross-section provides excellent resistance to bending forces.
