ABLE PLC80 Plate Lifting Clamp, 8,000 kg WLL
The ABLE PLC80 is a heavy-duty, fully forged vertical plate lifting clamp built for the most demanding lifting and turning operations in steel fabrication, shipbuilding and civil engineering. Designed to lift and turn loads through 180°, it is particularly suited to the handling of thick steel plates, ship sections and pile sheets.
The clamp's hinged hoisting eye rotates freely in all directions, allowing the operator to approach and lift from any angle. Special hook-up facilities make horizontal fitment straightforward, while an enlarged jaw aperture accommodates plates of varying thickness within a single clamp, reducing the need for multiple tools on site.
Safety is built in at every level: a double-locking safety latch retains the load positively in both the open and closed jaw positions, and a pre-load is automatically applied to the material being lifted. The fully forged structure offers complete traceability and is rated to a safety factor of 6 × WLL.
