Overview
Foundry hooks are specialist lifting components primarily used in the cast metal industry, where their extra-wide throat opening is essential for accommodating the trunnions of moulding boxes. Their large opening also makes them invaluable across many other heavy-duty lifting applications where standard hooks cannot provide sufficient clearance.
This 10 mm foundry hook is forged from high-grade alloy steel and heat-treated (quenched and tempered) to Grade 80, delivering a Working Load Limit of 3,100 kg. It can be connected to Grade 80 alloy chain or wire rope using G-Link or BL couplers, and is supplied in a distinctive yellow/green finish for easy identification on site.
Every hook is proof load tested to 2.5× WLL and marked with brand, WLL, batch number and size, ensuring full traceability and compliance with lifting equipment requirements.
