Which cards do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. You can also pay on our website via PayPal.
How is my information secured when using The Ratchet Shop website?
Will my order include a sales receipt?
When you order online you will receive an email with an order conformation number to confirm that your order has been placed.
Can I get a VAT receipt?
When you order online you will be able to then print your VAT receipt, we will also send you a copy of your Invoice with the goods you have ordered. Alternatively you can call 01638 731 608 and ask for an invoice to be sent to you via e-mail or fax.
Is VAT included in the products?
Our products are not inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT). We charge VAT on goods and delivery at the current UK rate. If your order is being dispatched to a destination outside the European Union (EU) then your sales tax will be zero on goods but it is still charged on delivery as its journey begins in the UK. If your order is being sent to a member state of the EU then the selling price will be plus VAT and delivery plus VAT. You will be responsible for the payment of any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country.

How do I get a brochure from The Ratchet Shop?
When placing your order on the website you can also request a brochure in the comments box to be sent with your order. Alternatively you can send a message to us on the contact page and we will mail one out to you, you do not have to register with us or place and order to receive a brochure. Please note, a PDF version of our brochure is always available for download on our website. These are not printed regularly so if you are looking for a product that is not in our current brochure, please check on line as we may stock it there.
Can I shop online without registering?
Yes, we do offer a guest/express check out service for those shopping in a hurry, for one off purchases and for those who do not wish to register with us.
Will I receiver newsletters if I create an account with The Ratchet Shop Online?
What type of information do newsletters from The Ratchet Shop contain?
Our newsletters contain discounts, promotional codes, news of exhibition shows we are attending new products that we are stocking and any other changes that we are making at The Ratchet Shop that we feel you should know about.

Do you offer discount to trade or large orders?
Please call our office for further assistance if you are ordering over 100 items. Alternatively please look at our ‘bulk buy and save’ options on the website.
Do your lifting products come with test certificates?
All our products come certified and tested. All our products are dispatched with certification other than our ratchet straps which are batch tested. If you require a certificate for your ratchet straps please make a note in the comments box of your order or call our office on 01638 731 608 to let us know your requirements.
Does the price on the website include the ratchet handle and strap?
The price on our website includes both the ratchet and the strap. Everything shown in the product photo on the website is what you will get.
Can I have products made to order?
Yes we do offer made to order products. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01638 731 608 for further help. Please also see our Returns and Refunds page for made to order/special order products.
How do you measure your ratchets and chains?
All our ratchet straps and chains are measured from bearing point to bearing point.
I require my ratchets to be a specific color.
If you require your ratchets in a certain color, please specify on your order so we can make sure that we are sending the correct item out to you.
How do you measure your round slings?
Our round slings are measure to their effective working length (EWL)
Are your online prices the same as your trade shows?
Yes there is no difference to buying online or a trade shows. We do have a lot more items on special offer at our trade shows and also there is no delivery charge if you are taking the items home with you that day.

Will I be contacted before delivery?
We try to keep our customers as up to date as possible throughout there order process. Once your order is placed you will receive an email confirming this, another email once your order has been processed and sent and then a further email on the day of your delivery which will give you an estimated hours delivery slot for your item(s). If this time/day is not convenient for you the email will also give you the opportunity to change the date/time to something more convienient. Please be sure when entering your delivery address that it is entered in full with a contact telephone number that the courier can contact you on if he is struggling to find you. The courier company that we use do not get paid unless they deliver your parcel so please help them help you.
Can my order be delivered to an alternative address?
Your order can be delivered to an alternative address to the billing address when placing an order via our website but the full details of the cards registered address/ billing address must be entered into the order. If you are not going to be available for the delivery of your item(s) please make a note on your order of this and the place where you would like your order safely left. Please note however that if you have decided to have your order left without a signature in a safe place then we accept no responsibility for the item once the courier has made the delivery.

Can I collect my order?
Yes you can, please call us on 01638 731 608 to arrange a collection time. You can also send your own courier service if you would like.
