The Ratchet Shop at The Irish National Championships

September marks the return of the Irish National Ploughing Championships, and we couldn't be more excited to attend.

The event is being held in Tullamore, Co Offaly from the 20th to the 22nd September, and looks set to the biggest one yet. Last year saw a record number of attendees, with over 281,000 people flocking from all over the UK to attend.

The event brings thousands of agriculture, livestock and rural enthusiasts together, with an exciting mix of events, stalls and demonstrations taking place during the Championships.  

Obviously one of the main attractions will be the National Ploughing Championship itself. The show is split into a number of different classes taking place over the event. If you are interesting in reading more about the rules of the event you can find them here.

Whether you are interested in the ploughing or just want to take part in the many other fun activities, including plenty of food stalls and machinery on display, the event is sure to be fun for everyone.  

Last year 1,500 exhibitors participated in the event, taking advantage of the bustling atmosphere to show off some exciting goods and services from a huge variety of industries. Already a large number of people have signed up to do the same thing this year, and we are one of them. If you spot us, make sure you come say hi.
